We hear it all the time! Customers are usually concerned when they open up their weather app the day of their scheduled service and see rain clouds. But have no fear! If you’re wondering if your cleaning can still happen, the answer is yes. While we take all necessary safety precautions in inclement weather, working in an average rainfall is actually favorable! Here are a few reasons why:
Rain keeps our detergents from drying too quickly. When we work in the hot summer sunshine, the water evaporates at a much quicker rate. While our highly skilled technicians are more than capable of handling 90 degree weather, an overcast sky is more desirable for pressure washing. The extra drying time prevents soap circles that would need additional rinsing in the heat.
In addition to the drying time, rain allows for better visibility compared to a sunny day. Just as when the sun can make it hard to see while driving, the same is true for pressure washing. Our team is even more likely to deliver stellar results on overcast days due to the fewer amount of shadows on your home and sun in their eyes.
Now that you know rainfall can actually make it easier to pressure wash, let’s talk about some other types of weather. There unfortunately are a few circumstances in which a service will need to be rescheduled. These include heavy rain and flooding, current thunder and lighting, and other extreme weather conditions (tornado, snow, hail, etc.). If possible, our technicians will wait it out! If not, our team will contact you as soon as possible to reschedule.
At Brown’s Pressure Washing and Roof Cleaning, we are committed to providing the best experience possible to both you and to our technicians. This means taking all safety precautions necessary in various weather conditions. In addition to that, our technicians are incredibly experienced and well trained! They are used to working in all sorts of settings and circumstances, so you can rest assured you will get the results you expect. So if you see a rainy forecast ahead, don’t worry! You can go ahead and give us a call, and we will do the rest.
